DUBOIS CO. — One person is dead after an accident in Dubois County Monday morning.
Dubois County Sheriff’s Department officials say this accident happened on State Road 64 west of Schnellville Road in Birdseye at approximately 3:46 a.m.
According to police, the car, a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling west when, for unknown reasons, it veered off the road. The vehicle traveled about 600 feet and rolled over before traveling down an embankment. The man’s name has not been released.
The male driver was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
Deputies were assisted on the scene by the Indiana State Police, Birdseye Fire Department, Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services, and Sternberg’s Wrecker Service.
