INDIANA—The registration deadline to vote in the November 5th election is Monday, October 7.
Here’s everything you need to know about registering to vote and checking your voter registration.
Eligibility requirements
To be eligible to vote, you must:
- Be a citizen of the United States.
- Be at least 18 years old on or before Election Day.
- Have a valid Indiana driver’s license or Indiana state ID card.
- Have lived in your precinct for at least 30 days before the election.
- Not be imprisoned after being convicted of a crime.
Where to register
You can register to vote at indianavoters.in.gov, at the county clerk’s office, or in person at any BMV license branch.
Check your voter status
If you’re already registered to vote, checking your voter registration status is a good idea.
To ensure you’re registered to vote, visit indianavoters.in.gov, find the box labeled “Check Voting Status,” and click on “Check Your Registration Record.” You will be prompted to enter your first and last name and date of birth and choose the county of your current registration from a drop-down menu.
