TERRE HAUTE – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a temporary road closure that will impact Sidenbender Road (25th Street) underneath I-70 in Terre Haute.
Beginning on or after Monday, Sept. 9, crews will close Sidenbender Road to replace the existing bridges with a new tunnel at this location. Traffic will also be diverted onto a temporary bridge built in the median of I-70 eastbound at this location. The closure is expected to last until mid-November but is weather permitting and subject to change.
INDOT encourages drivers to seek an alternate route around the closure and to use caution while traveling through the work zone on I-70.
