CRAWFORDSVILLE— Franciscan Health Crawfordsville will host a car seat safety clinic on Saturday, September 28, at Crawfordsville Fire Station 2 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in conjunction with the Montgomery County Health Department and Safe Kids Greater Lafayette.
A certified car seat technician will be present to check if attendees have the proper seat for their child and if those seats are installed correctly. The technicians are trained to educate attendees on how to install and correctly use the car seat in the vehicle.
The car seat clinic is for local families and caregivers. Every participating family will receive a $10 gas gift card (one per vehicle). The child must be present for the car seat inspection. The only exception is if someone is expecting a child. Qualified families may receive a new car seat (certain restrictions apply).
Car and booster seats are provided through generous donations from State Farm.
Register online for the Crawfordsville car seat clinic, as space is limited.
Crawfordsville Fire Station 2 is located at 1509 East Main Street in Crawfordsville. For more information, call 765-449-5133.
