On Track: I-69 Finish Line Project Update

INDIANAPOLIS – Mann Road over I-465 and the Thompson Road approach ramp to eastbound I-465 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, September 13, through 5 a.m. Monday, September 16, for bridge work. Seek an alternate route during closure.

Southbound Mann Road:

  • Follow SR 67/Kentucky Ave. southwest to High School Road. Turn south on High School Road, east on Thompson Road, south on Tincher Road, and east on Epler Road to Mann Road.

Northbound Mann Road:

  • Turn west on Epler Road, north on Tincher Road, west on Thompson Road, and north on High School Road to SR 67/Kentucky Ave. Follow SR 67/Kentucky Ave. northeast to Mann Road.

What to expect this week:

  • Nightly single-lane closures are expected at various locations on I-465 eastbound and westbound between I-65 and I-70 tonight through Friday, September 13. Closures and stoppages are scheduled between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. for bridge work and crew access to and from the construction site.
  • One lane will be restricted on southbound I-69 between Southport Road and County Line Road tonight through Friday, September 13, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for paving.

Reminders:

  • The entrance and exit ramps on the east side of Harding Street at I-465 are closed. Ramp reconstruction is expected to continue through mid-October. For more information on the ramp closures and detours for local traffic, click here.
  • The westbound I-465 exit ramp to Mann Road (Exit 7) will remain closed until early October for pavement reconstruction. Motorists needing to access Mann Road from westbound I-465 should exit at Kentucky Avenue/SR 67 (Exit 8). A map of the ramp closure is available here.
  • The southbound US 31/East Street entrance ramp to westbound I-465 will remain closed into late 2024.

Reminders:

  • The speed limit along I-69 between SR 144 and Fairview Road is now 55 mph in Johnson County.
    • In Johnson and Marion Counties, speed limits are still reduced throughout most of the I-69 Finish Line corridor. Please follow all posted speed limits as construction work continues through 2024.
