DUBOIS/MARSHALL CO.– Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales attended and spoke at the Northern and Southern Clerks Conference last week. These critical events bring together county clerks and election officials from across the state to discuss the latest developments in election administration, voter registration, and other vital functions overseen by the clerks’ offices.
Secretary Morales’ participation underscores his commitment and the importance of election readiness.
During the conferences, Secretary Morales spoke on election integrity, the delivery of election improvement grants, voter outreach efforts, and the key role that county clerks play in maintaining safe and secure elections.
“With Election Day just around the corner, it’s vital that we continue working together to deliver the elections that Hoosiers expect and deserve. I am honored to join the hardworking county clerks across the state at these conferences. The work they do is foundational to Indiana elections. These conferences are an invaluable opportunity to engage with local officials, share updates from the office, and hear directly from those on the frontlines of election administration,” said Diego Morales, Indiana Secretary of State.
The Northern Clerks Conference was held in Plymouth, and the Southern Clerks Conference was held in Jasper. Both events featured a range of sessions covering topics such as voter registration systems, election laws, and best practices for clerks.
Secretary Morales reminds all eligible Hoosiers to register to vote before the October 7 deadline.
