BLOOMINGTON- The Bloomington Police Department’s Citizen Police Academy is a community outreach program designed to enhance understanding between citizens and law enforcement. Participants learn about police operations, procedures, and challenges through hands-on experiences and classroom instruction. The academy fosters positive relationships, encourages dialogue, and helps build trust by giving residents insight into the daily responsibilities of officers serving their community.
The program begins September 24 and continues every Tuesday evening through November 19. Classes will be from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. All citizens aged 18 and older are encouraged to apply. Space is limited, so apply today to ensure you can attend!
