ORLEANS- The Orleans Town Council has set September 30 through October 5 as “ Fall Town-Wide Clean Sweep Week,” encouraging all residents to participate in the clean-up efforts for the fall and winter months ahead. Residents are welcome and encouraged, wherever possible, to bring any unwanted or junk-type items they want to dispose of and place them in the dumpster. Town crews will also be picking up large items of discard that week. Discard items should be placed curbside for easy pickup by NO Later than October 3rd.
The Orleans Chamber of Commerce is also participating in this special community event and asking everyone’s help to make our hometown beautiful this fall by taking the time to clean up, spruce up, fix up, and paint up all around town that week. Chamber officials are asking business owners and residents alike to help dress up the town to usher in Autumn by decorating their storefronts, porches, and lawns with mums, scarecrows, pumpkins, etc., in preparation for the Annual Fall Fun Fest in the Park downtown on October 12th.
