Renee Sheryl Majors, 71, of Bedford, passed away Monday September 16, 2024, at Westview Manor in Bedford.
She was born in Bedford on September 28, 1952, to the late James and Bonnie Allen Housier. She married Bruce Majors on February 13, 1970, and he survives.
Renee attended Hillcrest Christian Church, graduated from Bedford High School in 1970, and was a proud Cutter girl. She was passionate about education and held two Master’s degrees and a Theology degree. Renee was a Real Estate Agent and retired as Quality Control at General Electric.
Surviving to cherish Renee’s memory are her husband, Bruce; son, Michael Majors and his wife, Rose; brother, Gerald Housier and his wife, Sandy; niece, Bridgette Bay and her husband, Brandon; nephew, Jared Housier and his wife, Olivia; sisters-in-law, Kathy Lockenour and her husband Scott and Delores Polderman and her husband, Neil.
Renee was preceded in death by her parents.Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford, with Pastor Mark Fugate officiating. Burial will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, also at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
