Two arrested on drug charges after misue of 911

JASPER — Two individuals have been charged in Jasper after the alleged misuse of the 911 system led to the discovery of drugs.

Police responded to a residence on East 15th Street in Jasper following multiple 911 calls from the location. Jasper Police reported that David J. Leidgen was detained at the scene.

Following an investigation and a search of the home, law enforcement officials claim to have discovered drugs, paraphernalia, and a firearm. Leidgen faces charges including possession of narcotic drugs, possession of a controlled substance, possession of hypodermic syringes, possession of anabolic steroids, possession of paraphernalia, misuse of 911, possession of synthetic urine, and possession of marijuana.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested Brittney Wells on charges of neglect of a dependent and possession of a controlled substance.

Both Wells and Leidgen were booked into the Dubois County Security Center.
