BEDFORD – 16th Street in Bedford is now open.
The Indiana Department of Transportation completed striping, and the road is open to motorists.
16th was closed after a water main break caused significant damage to the road.
City officials met with INDOT and proceeded with a joint approach to fixing the damage.
The City of Bedford and the Redevelopment Commission passed an emergency resolution on Tuesday, June 18, declaring an emergency and authorizing a public works project to repair 16th Street and install a new water main.
