ELLETTSVILLE – Bedford North Lawrence’s offense clicked into high gear as the Stars overwhelmed Edgewood 5-0 during boys high school soccer action on Thursday.
Adriano Sullivan and Frank Decker both scored and added two assists as BNL (6-4) recorded its third straight win.
“That was probably the best game we have played this year, as far as passing and moving off the ball,” BNL coach Ryan Otis said. “We have to carry that over to our remaining games.
“We totally dominated the game. We maintained possession throughout and barely allowed them to cross midfield. They played a low block and collapsed on us when we entered the box. To counter, we worked the sidelines and took outside shots. We didn’t finish at a high clip but kept them under fire.”
Sullivan got the Stars rolling with a goal (from a Decker assist) at 24:11 in the first half, and J.D. Russell added a second at 20:29 from a Sullivan pass. In the second half, the Stars pulled away as Russell converted a Decker assist at 18:14, Decker scored off a Russell pass at 11:20, and Hiram Mullis struck (via a Sullivan assist) at 4:28.
BNL totaled 31 shots.
The Stars will visit Jeffersonville on Saturday.
