WASHINGTON — A fire broke out at 1813 State Street on Thursday, September 19th, at 5:12 p.m., prompting a swift response from the Washington City Fire Department and other emergency services.
Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a truck ablaze. Flames reached the building’s roof, causing heavy smoke to billow from the attic.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, and no individuals were trapped inside.
Emergency crews worked diligently for over an hour to bring the fire under control. Off-duty firefighters and a line crew were called in to respond.
The fire was extinguished at 6:06 p.m.
In the aftermath, the State Fire Marshal has been requested to conduct a further investigation into the cause of the blaze.
