Southern Indiana Town Hall with gubernatorial candidates and bipartisan members of the Indiana General Assembly will gather on Sunday

SCOTTSBURG– On Sunday, September 29th, hundreds of Hoosiers from across Southern Indiana will gather for the state’s largest non-partisan Town Hall in the lead-up to the 2024 general elections. Gubernatorial candidates Jennifer McCormick and Donald Rainwater and five sitting state-level elected officials from both parties have been confirmed to attend. Senator Mike Braun and additional members from the Indiana General Assembly have also been invited.

At this noni-partisan event, community members from across small-town Indiana will share their experiences and ask elected officials and candidates from multiple parties questions related to the issues that matter most to them, including:

  • Addiction, overdose, and harm reduction
  • Environmental resilience
  • Housing
  • Medicaid and healthcare costs
  • Maternal health and childcare
  • Public education

For far too long, partisan politics have failed to provide small-town Southern Indiana Hoosiers with the care, opportunity, and futures their families deserve. By bringing everyday people from all walks of life together with their elected officials and candidates of multiple parties, this Town Hall seeks to enact a new, more accountable politics by and for the people.
