SALEM – Bedford North Lawrence ended a four-match skid with a 2-0 victory over Salem during girls high school soccer action on Tuesday.
Jayella Filler and Kylee Atchison recorded the goals for the Stars (2-9).
“We had a lot of opportunities on offense, but it was pretty congested in front of the goal, making it hard to get the ball in,” BNL coach Bret Roberts said. “The game started out strong with Summer Hughes having a shot about a minute and a half into the game. We continued to shoot on them and attack them offensively for the reminder of the game.”
Filler scored at 20:26 in the first half, and Atchison converted a Cora Thomas corner kick with 4:51 left in the second.
BNL will visit Trinity Lutheran on Thursday.
