OWEN CO. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Force Construction Company plans to close State Road 67 over Little Indian Creek on or after Tuesday, October 1, to complete a bridge rehabilitation project in Owen County.
The closure will occur approximately 4.7 miles north of U.S. 231 and is expected to be complete by early November, weather permitting. Crews will begin placing signage in the area before the start of construction. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route, which follows S.R. 39 to I-69 to S.R. 46 to S.R. 231.
This project is part of a $2.6 million contract awarded to Force Construction in September 2023. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, be cautious, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
