Evansville man arrested after motorcycle chase

VANDERBURGH CO. – Tuesday at approximately 3:10 p.m., Indiana State Police Lieutenant Brian Bailey was patrolling Koressel Road near New Harmony Road when he attempted to stop the rider of an electric motorcycle for not having a registration plate.

The rider continued south on Koressel Road, reaching speeds of approximately 85 miles per hour before disregarding the stop sign at Marx Road and then continuing east at a high rate of speed. The rider turned onto several different county roads before finally pulling into a driveway in the 5600 block of New Harmony Road and surrendering.

The rider was identified as Owen Christopher King, 22, of Evansville. King was arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail on charges of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, a Level 6 felony.
