Terre Haute man arrested for possession of child pornography

VIGO CO. – A cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) led to the arrest of a Terre Haute man for possession of child pornography.

Detectives Mike Laney and Ryan Winters of the Putnamville State Police Post, working with the Indiana State Police – Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force, began an investigation in July 2024 after receiving a cyber tip report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.  The cyber tip report indicated that a specific account possibly received child pornography images or video files.

As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was requested and granted through Vigo Superior/Circuit Court for Noah A. Phillips, 45, Terre Haute, Indiana.  He was taken into custody yesterday without incident.  Phillips is presently being held at the Vigo County Jail.

The Indiana ICAC Task Force encourages Hoosiers to report online exploitation, solicitation, and enticement-type crimes against children to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
