SEYMOUR – Bedford North Lawrence posted its second straight victory with a 3-0 conquest of Trinity Lutheran during girls high school soccer action on Thursday.
Cora Thomas, Rose Dusard and Summer Hughes scored as the Stars improved to 3-9.
“The girls did a great job of passing and controlled the ball the whole game,” BNL coach Bret Roberts said. “They had a couple shots on us, but nothing too dangerous. We figured out how to send the ball to the middle of the field and find their weak spots. We also used our speed to our advantage.”
Thomas broke through with 53 seconds left in the first half. Dusard extended the lead with a shot at 16:36 in the second, and Hughes added the clincher with 6:34 remaining.
BNL, which will learn its sectional draw on Sunday, will visit Edgewood on Monday.
