CLAY CITY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a temporary bridge closure on State Road 59 just north of Clay City.
Beginning on or after Monday, Oct. 7, crews will close the State Road 59 bridge about one mile north of Clay City over Connely Ditch. During the closure, crews will conduct an in-depth inspection of the structure and complete repairs. Work is anticipated to last until mid-December but is weather-dependent and subject to change.
The official detour for the closure will follow State Road 246 to State Road 159 to State Road 46. INDOT encourages all drivers to seek an alternate route and to use caution while traveling in and near work zones.
