BLOOMFIELD – J..D. Miskuf recorded a hat trick in the first half while powering Bedford North Lawrence to a 7-0 victory over Bloomfield during boys high school soccer action on Tuesday night.
Miskuf’s three goals propelled the Stars (8-5-1) to a 5-0 lead at intermission. He scored unassisted at 31:55, converted a J.D. Russell pass at 7:07, and booted home his third off a Adriano Sullivan assist at 4:24.
Parker Beeson (27:06, from Noah Childers) and Childers (3:02, via Ayden Patton) added the first-half goals.
“It was a very small field, which made it hard for us to work the ball,” BNL coach Ryan Otis said. “We eventually hit on some through balls, which opened up the field and allowed us to possess. We came out very flat. We talked about playing our game and preparing for our remaining games, but we didn’t start that way.
“In the second half, it got very chippy so we sat several guys with bigger games coming up. We kept the back line in to ensure the shutout, and those guys got rewarded with some goals. I’m happy we stayed healthy and proud of the kids for keeping their heads.”
Manuel Morales and Austin Harms completed the scoring in the second half.
The Stars will host Seymour on Thursday.
