DAVIESS CO.— Daviess County Rural Water has announced the commencement of its fall flushing program, which will begin Monday, October 7th, and continue until the flushing is complete. This annual maintenance initiative is essential for ensuring the quality and safety of the county’s water supply.
Flushing operations will occur in two primary areas: in the south, flushing will start at Bussard Road and extend southward, while in the north, the process will begin at County Road 100 North and move north.
Customers should be aware that during the hydrant flushing, they may experience fluctuations in water pressure and potential discoloration of their tap water. If residents notice discolored water, they are advised to run their cold water taps until the water clears. To minimize inconvenience, it is recommended that customers postpone laundry and limit the use of hot water until the cold water is clear.
