BEDFORD – Local relief organizations and churches are rallying to support disaster relief efforts in North Carolina, which has been devastated by recent hurricanes. Financial contributions are urgently needed to assist those affected by the natural disaster.
BeLoved Asheville is seeking financial assistance to purchase food and water for the displaced residents. Donations can be made by calling 828-571-0766 or emailing belovedasheville@gmail.com.
The Diaper Bank of North Carolina is also in need of financial support to purchase diapers, feminine products, and baby formula. Donations can be made online at info@ncdiaperbank.org or by calling 919-886-8085.
World Central Kitchen is seeking volunteers to assist with food preparation, unloading, and delivering supplies. Those interested can sign up at hello@wck.org or call 202-844-6330.

Samaritan’s Purse is accepting financial donations to support immediate needs and seeking volunteers. Donations can be made online or by calling 828-262-1980.
Local churches in Bedford are also working together to coordinate relief efforts and collect donations. For more information on getting involved, please contact your local church or the Helene Relief organization.
Helene Relief is another local organization collecting donations for North Carolina relief efforts. They are accepting monetary donations online at corywheatcustoms.com or Bethel Bible Church, or by texting GIVE to 910-400-1177. All donations must be loaded no later than October 11th. The Helene Relief team will be departing from Smokin’ Jim’s BBQ in Bedford on October 13th.
