Obituary: Anna ‘Sissi’ Louise Craig

May 4, 1951 – October 7, 2024

Anna ‘Sissi’ Louise Craig, 73, of Orleans, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, at Paoli Health and Living Community after a long-fought battle with cancer.

Born May 4, 1951, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Harold Lee and Julia F. (Melvin) Dorsett.  She married Mark Alan ‘Sparky’ Craig on December 22, 1999, and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2020.

Anna was a bartender at Jack’s Lounge, Zeeks, and multiple other lounges.  She was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Auxiliary to the VFW Post No. 9107.  Anna enjoyed gardening and flowers, cooking, and crafting.  She loved socializing and partying with her friends, always making everyone smile.

Surviving are her children, Julie Tow of Bedford and Kari Terrell of Orleans; stepson Alan Craig of Bloomington; grandchildren Jae (Jerek) Tolbert Johnson, Kristopher (Erendira) Kinder, and Michael (Rose Gonzales) Morin; great-grandchildren Eluzai, Arya, and Isabella; siblings Aggie Ramey of Bloomington and Billy Baker of Anderson; and her beloved rescue dog, Honey Bear.

Her parents, husband, son, Daniel Melton, and multiple pets preceded her in death.

Cremation has been chosen.  A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 18, at VFW Post No. 9107.
