MARTIN COUNTY — A burn ban has been put in place for Martin County, effective immediately, due to dry conditions.
The ban prohibits campfires, recreational fires, open burning, debris burning, and the use of burn barrels. Charcoal grills are allowed, but the charcoal must be extinguished before being removed.
Residents are also urged to limit their use of fireworks to ground-based devices.
The burn ban will remain in effect until further notice.
