The Men’s Warming Shelter of Bedford is hosting a work day to prep for November 1 opening

BEDFORD – The Men’s Warming Shelter of Bedford is hosting a shelter work day to get prepped for the upcoming cold months. Southern Indiana experiences sweltering and humid temperatures in the summer, and the winter cold is just as extreme. The Men’s Warming Shelter provides a warm, safe space for those suffering from homelessness in the Lawrence County community. If you can help, donate time by cleaning, organizing, and repairing the facility to ensure these men have a haven from the cold. The work day is scheduled for Saturday, October 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the shelter, 1414 H St. Whether you can donate an hour or the whole day, your help will be appreciated.
