LAWRENCE CO.– The Lawrence County Highway Department announced plans to seek bids for three new heavy-duty trucks equipped with utility beds for their supervisory staff. The estimated cost for these vehicles exceeds $200,000.
The trucks will be paid for using American Rescue Plan funds.
Bid specifications will be publicly advertised to invite potential contractors to submit proposals. Once the bids are received, the department will review them. The contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder.
This procurement aims to enhance the highway department’s operational capabilities, ensuring that supervisors have the necessary equipment to manage and maintain the county’s infrastructure effectively.
