Purdue Extension-Lawrence County announces Free Leadership Workshop and Annual Review

BEDFORD— Purdue Extension-Lawrence County will host its annual Lunch-n-Learn event on Wednesday, November 13. The event will feature expert insights on leadership techniques and a comprehensive review of the organization’s community impact.

The free event, scheduled from noon to 1:15 p.m. at Stonegate Arts and Education Center in Bedford, will feature guest speaker Tanya Hall, Regional Extension Educator for Community Development. Hall will lead a session on facilitative leadership techniques and offer practical strategies for improving organizational communication and dialogue.

“We encourage you to come to learn more about what Extension does in our community and how we can partner with other groups to make even more impact in Lawrence County,” said McKayla Padgett, Extension representative. The event will include presentations from Extension Community Partners highlighting innovative initiatives from the past year.

Staff members from all program areas will be available for discussion, including representatives from:

  • 4-H and Youth Development
  • Agriculture and Natural Resources
  • Health and Human Sciences
  • Nutrition Education
  • Community Wellness

Several local sponsors made the event possible, including Callahan Law Office, Gerkin Construction, WQRK Lite FM, Izzy Shew, and Vertical Home Health Care.
