LAWRENCE CO. – Voters of Lawrence County, there is a misprint on the 2024 General Election Ballot.
The moment the misprint was discovered on Friday, October 18, Lawrence County Clerk Amy Voorhies worked with all involved parties, including party chairs and the State, to resolve the issue.
All ballots will have been corrected, and voting will proceed normally, Voorhies added.
All voters who have voted by machine, absentee by mail, or absentee by email will be sent a letter explaining the misprint and a form to fill out if they would like to change their vote due to this misprint.
Please accept the apology of the Lawrence County Election Board for this misprint.
The ballot is attached, and the error is highlighted on page 6. Three candidates should have been listed as Libertarian instead of Independent.
