Bailey’s Flowers and Gifts Celebrates 40 Years in Bedford with Special Event

BEDFORD – Bailey’s Flowers and Gifts is celebrating a milestone this month: 40 years of serving the Bedford community. To mark the occasion, the beloved local florist invites residents and visitors to a special celebration on Friday, November 8th, and Saturday, November 9th, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Bailey’s Flowers and Gifts has been a fixture in the Bedford area for four decades, providing beautiful floral arrangements, gifts, and personalized service to generations of customers. As part of the anniversary celebration, the public is invited to join the fun and enjoy various activities, giveaways, and special offerings.

Bailey’s Flowers & Gifts is family-owned and started operating in 1978 as a craft and hobby shop. Founder Gloria Bailey ventured into fresh and silk flower designing in 1984. Since then, the growing business has been in various locations around the courthouse square in downtown Bedford. Having been raised in the business, her daughter, Julie, took over the shop in April 1998 after Gloria’s sudden passing.

In the past twenty years, Bailey’s Flowers & Gifts has become the premiere place in Bedford to buy or receive flowers. Voted Best Florist in Lawrence County every year, they continue to bring high-quality fresh flowers and the best customer service to Bedford year after year. The flower shop designers have more than 60 years of combined experience.

To commemorate the occasion, Sean Duncan of the Sean Duncan Show on WQRK 105.5—Southern Indiana’s Classic Hits—will be on hand to broadcast Friday, November 8th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Attendees can look forward to various fun activities, including giveaways, delicious refreshments, and a preview of the store’s holiday decorations. Christmas decor will be on display, giving everyone a chance to get a head start on their seasonal shopping.
