Indiana State Parks offers free admission to Veterans, Active-Duty Military, and their families on Veterans Day

INDIANA—On Monday, November 11, in honor of Veterans Day, Indiana State Parks offers free admission to all veterans, active-duty military personnel, and everyone in their vehicles.

The offer applies to all DNR-managed state parks, reservoir properties, state forest recreation areas, and off-road state recreation areas. This includes access to the Falls of the Ohio State Park’s Interpretive Center.

State Parks officials expressed gratitude for the sacrifices and service made by veterans and active-duty military. They look forward to recognizing them with a day to explore some of the best outdoor places in our state.

To take advantage of the free admission, veterans and active-duty military personnel need to inform the gate attendant at the property they visit, letting them know that they are serving or have served in the military.

The free entry is part of an ongoing effort to honor those who have served in the armed forces and offers a great opportunity for veterans and military families to enjoy the natural beauty of Indiana’s outdoor recreation areas.

For additional information about state parks, reservoirs, state forest properties, and off-road recreation areas, visitors can visit the Indiana Department of Natural Resources website at on.IN.gov/recguide.

This Veterans Day, Indiana State Parks invites all military personnel and their families to enjoy the great outdoors at no cost in appreciation for their service.
