Bloomington’s Public Health in the Parks is Wednesday, Nov. 13

BLOOMINGTON- Bloomington Parks and Recreation, in collaboration with community health partners, will host Public Health in the Parks on Wednesday, November 13, at the Switchyard Park Pavilion from 2 – 6 p.m. Public Health in the Parks offers a chance for community members to assess their current health and wellness plans, access care and services for free, and leave with an individualized plan to make strides in their personal health journeys. 

Onsite providers include IU Health Positive Link, IU Health – Monroe County Public Health Clinic, the Indiana Department of Health, the IU School of Public Health, IU Health – Community Health, the Monroe County Health Department, and BloomingFoods.

Services provided include HIV/HCV, blood pressure, cholesterol, carotenoid, maternal/child health, health and wellness, diabetes screenings, seasonal vaccines, InBody scans, sleep hygiene assessments, smoking/vaping cessation, tobacco education, car seat inspections, SNAP sign-up assistance, and more!
