INDIANA—The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is inviting tree-planting enthusiasts and photographers to participate in its first-ever photo contest, celebrating the beauty and importance of tree planting across the state.
The contest, hosted by the DNR’s Community and Urban Forestry team, invites participants to submit their best tree-planting photos taken during 2024. Entries must be emailed to meschoen@dnr.IN.gov by November 30, 2024, the contest deadline.
Winners will receive tree-themed prizes, and their photos will be showcased on the DNR’s social media platforms and during the Indiana Community and Urban Forestry Symposium on December 3-4 in Indianapolis.
The contest is open to all Indiana residents, with each participant allowed to submit one photo. Entries will be judged based on their creativity, photographic quality, and how well they capture the theme of tree planting. The DNR encourages individuals, organizations, and communities to showcase their efforts in planting trees in urban or rural settings.
