BRI hosts Free Downtown Historic Church Tour

BEDFORD—Bedford Revitalization, Inc. (BRI) is hosting a tour of six historic downtown churches on Sunday, December 1, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

There is no charge for the tour, and the six churches may be visited in any order within three hours. However, if you plan to visit all six churches, you’ll need to count on needing most of that time to see all of them.

The tour includes:

  • St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 1723 I Street
  • 2nd Baptist Church at 1201 I Street
  • First Christian Church of Bedford at 1101 15th Street
  • First United Methodist Church at 1409 K Street
  • First Presbyterian Church at 1504 L Street
  • St. John’s Episcopal Church at 1219 14th Street

These churches, with their grand architecture, stained glass, and polished wood – some with organs, others with church bells or carved alters, all have fascinating histories. Hear their stories and see inside these buildings built to worship God by different local denominations.

BRI has developed a 2025 calendar featuring the local churches, which will be sold at each church. The churches will be decorated for Christmas and ready to welcome you.
