Veteran’s monument to be dedicated in Marshall Township on November 16

AVOCA – A special ceremony honoring the men and women of Marshall Township who have served in the United States Armed Forces will occur on Saturday, November 16, at 11:00 a.m. The newly constructed Veteran’s Monument will be dedicated and unveiled at the Avoca Park & Recreation of Marshall Township, formerly known as the Avoca Fish Hatchery.

The monument, crafted from local limestone, is on the park’s west side of the Red Brick Building. It is a lasting tribute to the bravery, sacrifice, and service of Marshall Township’s veterans. American Legion Post 33 members will attend the dedication ceremony, which will be integral to the event.

Veterans, their families, friends, and local community members are invited to join in this solemn occasion to honor the contributions of those who have served in the nation’s military. The ceremony will include remarks from local dignitaries, a moment of reflection, and the official unveiling of the monument.

The monument’s dedication is a testament to the community’s deep respect and gratitude for its veterans. Organizers encourage all who have ties to Marshall Township’s military history to attend and show their support.
