Knox County man wanted on felony charges arrested in Texas and transported back to Indiana

KNOX CO. – A man wanted on two felony charges in Knox County has been arrested in Texas and transported back to Indiana to face trial. Rene Garza-Salazar, 54, was taken into custody after law enforcement officials located him in the Lone Star State. He is now being held in the Knox County Jail without bond.

Garza-Salazar is facing serious charges, including criminal confinement while armed with a deadly weapon and domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury. These charges stem from an alleged incident in Knox County earlier this year.

Following his arrest, Garza-Salazar was extradited to Indiana, where he will stand trial for the offenses. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the suspect is currently being held without bond as he awaits legal proceedings.

Authorities had been actively searching for Garza-Salazar after the charges were filed, and his capture in Texas marks a significant step in bringing him back to face justice in Indiana.
