HOPE – The town of Hope is gearing up for its annual Christmas of Yesteryear, an early holiday celebration that promises to bring festive cheer to the community. According to the Yellow Trail Museum and Hope Area Visitor’s Center, the event will occur on Friday, December 6th, from 5 to 8 p.m. on and around the Town Square.
This year’s festivities will feature a variety of holiday traditions. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to meet children, while young attendees can enjoy activities like icing Christmas cookies and participating in craft-making sessions. A bake sale will offer seasonal treats, and a live nativity scene will be set up to capture the spirit of Christmas.
In addition to these family-friendly activities, Willow Leaves of Hope will be hosting a historic Christmas play, providing a glimpse into past holiday traditions.
Roving Christmas carolers from the Hope Moravian Church, dressed in historical attire, will also spread holiday cheer throughout the evening.
The event will be held rain or shine, ensuring that the magic of the holiday season can be enjoyed regardless of the weather. With a wide range of activities for all ages, the Christmas of Yesteryear will surely be a memorable start to the holiday season in Hope.
