ORLEANS—The Orleans Chamber of Commerce is bringing holiday cheer to the community by returning the special “Mailbox for Santa Claus” this season. Located just outside the Chamber Office/Welcome Center on the north side of the historic town square, this festive mailbox offers local children the chance to send their Christmas wishes directly to Santa.
Special postcards are now available at various businesses around town, allowing youngsters to write their holiday wish lists to Santa. The postcards requiring no postage should be dropped directly into the “Santa” Box at the Chamber office—not in the regular Post Office boxes.
All cards will be forwarded to Santa at the North Pole, and a few lucky postcards will be selected for publication in upcoming editions of The Orleans Progress Examiner.
Don’t wait too long—Christmas is fast approaching! Please drop off your card in the Santa Mailbox before his big ride on Christmas Eve. It’s a beautiful tradition that helps bring the magic of the season to life for the children of Orleans.
