PACE launches Holiday Book Drive across six Indiana counties

INDIANA—PACE Community Action Agency has announced its annual Giving Tuesday Book Drive. From December 12th, multiple Indiana locations will accept donations of new and gently used children’s books.

The initiative, which aims to promote literacy and spread holiday cheer, has established drop-off locations at PACE offices throughout Knox, Sullivan, Lawrence, Daviess, Greene, and Vigo counties. Donations are being accepted Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m..

This book drive represents PACE’s commitment to fostering early literacy and ensuring children in our communities have access to quality reading materials.

Drop-off locations include the Vincennes and Bicknell offices in Knox County, the Sullivan and Carlisle locations in Sullivan County, the Bedford office in Lawrence County, two Washington locations in Daviess County, the Linton office in Greene County, and the Terre Haute office in Vigo County.

PACE accepts financial contributions to their annual fund through a convenient QR code system for those unable to donate books. Interested donors can visit www.pacecaa.org or call 812-882-7927 for more information.

The book drive is part of PACE’s broader mission as a Community Action Agency that supports and strengthens local communities. The organization hopes to collect enough books to significantly impact children’s literacy across its service area this holiday season.

The initiative aligns with the global Giving Tuesday movement, which encourages charitable giving during the holiday season, turning attention from Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping to community support and philanthropy.
