George L. Sipes, 88, of Cale, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
Born August 21, 1936, in Blankenship, he was the son of Edgar and Zetta (Stroud) Sipes.
George retired from NSWC Crane after over 25 years.
He loved mowing, cutting wood, visiting with family, cooking, and walking with his dog, Harley. George will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Surviving are his brothers, Joe (Linda) Sipes, of Cale, Elton (Prescilla) Sipes, of Cale, and Ricky Sipes, of
Bowling Green, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Roma Sue Bateman and Mary Hungate; and brothers,
Merle Sipes, Dennis Sipes, and three in infancy.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care, Shoals.
