BEDFORD — Downtown Bedford will transform into a winter wonderland on December 7th as the community gathers for its annual “Christmas Around the Square” celebration. The festive day promises a delightful mix of holiday cheer, shopping opportunities, and family-friendly entertainment.
The highlight of the day will be the Bedford Christmas Parade, which will wind its way through the heart of downtown at 6 p.m. Spectators can expect to see dazzling floats, marching bands, and Santa Claus himself making a grand entrance.
Throughout the day, visitors can explore the charming shops lining the square, discovering unique gifts for loved ones. The Christmas store will be open, offering a wide selection of holiday decorations and ornaments.
Harp Commons will be a hub of activity, hosting a special encounter with live reindeer from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Children and adults alike will have the opportunity to marvel at these majestic creatures and snap photos. Following the reindeer visit, families can enjoy free photos with Santa from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., creating lasting memories of the holiday season.
A variety of food trucks will also be available, offering a range of delicious treats to satisfy all appetites. These include 812 BBQ, Famous Boom Burger, Highway 150 Blues Cafe, Hometown Scoops, Hoovers Candy, Speakeasy Pizza, The 250 Grill, and more.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, Southern Indiana Classic Hits 105.5 WQRK will be broadcasting live music throughout the square, filling the air with holiday carols and upbeat tunes.
