ORLEANS- On Thursday, December 19, at 1:00 PM, the Monon South Trail will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the opening of the Orleans section of the trail to the public. The ceremony will be held at the Orleans trailhead (intersection of Jefferson Street and Franklin Street), and the public is encouraged to attend the celebration. Those wishing to attend can park at the trailhead site or in downtown Orleans at Congress Square (about three blocks west of the trailhead location on Jefferson Street).
