ORLEANS- The Orleans Chamber of Commerce is again sponsoring a special “Mail Box” for Santa Claus this year, located just outside the Chamber Office/Welcome Center on the north side of the Orleans Town Square. Special postcards for Santa are now available free of charge for local youngsters to write their Christmas Wishes. The postcards may be picked up at businesses around town, including Orleans Town Hall, Orleans Library, J & S Sportswear, Flower Cottage, Barbed Bling, 1815 Barber, and Mid-Southern Bank. The special postcards require no postage and must be dropped directly back into the “Santa” Box at the Chamber office (Not in the regular Post Office boxes). All cards will be forwarded to Santa at the North Pole, and selected ones may also appear in upcoming editions of The Orleans Progress Examiner. Hurry! Christmas is fast approaching, and all cards must be collected for Santa in time for his Christmas Eve ride.
