BLOOMINGTON — A 9-year-old boy who was reported missing early Saturday morning has been found safe.
Bentleey McGlocklin, who had not been seen since 6:00 a.m. on December 14, was located a mile from his home after a concerned citizen called to report a juvenile walking alone in the area.
McGlocklin was last seen leaving his home in the 1300 block of South Basswood Circle, near West Bloomfield Road and Interstate 69, according to the Bloomington Police Department. Surveillance footage showed him leaving the residence, wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt with no shoes.
The Bloomington Police Department had issued a public call for help locating the child, describing him as 4’6″ tall and weighing 90 pounds.
Multiple law enforcement agencies had joined the search, and after several hours of concern, McGlocklin was found safe.
Authorities thanked the community for their vigilance and cooperation during the search and reminded residents always to be alert to help keep children safe.
