Purdue Extension to host two free mental health First Aid courses

WEST LAFAYETTE – The Purdue University Extension will be hosting two free Mental Health First Aid courses in early 2025.

The first course will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Time. The second course will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Time. Both courses will be held virtually via Zoom.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is covering the $90 registration fee for both courses.

Advance sign-up and online pre-work are required for both courses.

These courses are designed to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to help someone experiencing a mental health crisis. They are open to anyone who wants to learn how to support friends, family, and colleagues who are struggling with mental health issues.
