Donald E. Scott, 81, of Oolitic, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at his residence.
Donald was born in Bedford on April 8, 1943, to William and Marie Scott. Donald married Connie Stailey on June 6, 1964, and she survives.
Donald graduated from Oolitic High School Class of 1961, was a member of the Avoca Baptist Church, worked at RCA in Bloomington for 40 years, and retired in 2005 from the North Lawrence Community Schools.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Connie Scott of Oolitic; two daughters, Shelley (Bob) Ikerd of Oolitic and Kristy (Sam) Miller of Bedford; three grandchildren, Kaleigh (TJ) Lee, Scott Miller and Marley Williams, and Tyler (Sydney) Miller, two great-grandchildren, Hadley Lee and Harper Lee, one sister, Gloria Elliott of Indianapolis.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, William Scott, and two sisters, Barbara Turpen and Betty Staggs.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home. The entombment will be in Cresthaven Cemetery.
