Head-on collision in Washington County leaves two injured

WASHINGTON CO. — A two-vehicle crash on Saturday, December 28, 2024, left two individuals injured and required extensive emergency response. At approximately 4:37 p.m., Washington County Deputies and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of State Road 135 North and Spurgeon Road following reports of a head-on collision.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Department provided the photo.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 2018 Jeep Wrangler and a 2013 Ford Fusion off the roadway, both with significant front-end damage. The driver of the Jeep, identified as Larry T. Stark, 61, from Brownstown, was found in his vehicle with extensive damage to the front. The driver of the Ford Fusion, Carrisa Shepherd, 25, from Salem, was also located in her vehicle, which had suffered similar damage.
