Bloomington man arrested for auto theft and multiple drug charges in Lawrence County

LAWRENCE COUNTYOn January 2nd, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Capt. Harrison Fleetwood conducted a traffic stop along SR 37 near SR 58. During the stop, it was discovered that the stopped vehicle, a 2014 Subaru, had been reported stolen from Bloomington on January 1st. Also, during the stop, suspected cocaine and methamphetamine were located.

Capt. Fleetwood arrested the male driver, Markeith Brown (32 years old of Bloomington), for auto theft with a prior conviction, possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, and possession of a hypodermic syringe. He also arrested the female passenger, McKenzie Sater/Harrison (30 years old of Bloomfield), for possession of methamphetamine and hypodermic syringes. She also had an active civil warrant from Lawrence County.

Officer Joshua Rhoades and Bedford Police Officer Taylor Daugherty assisted with the stop.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
