Annual Soil Health Workshop coming to Salem in February

SALEMThe 13th Annual Southern Region Soil Health Workshop will return to Salem’s Cornerstone Hall on February 4, 2025. This half-day educational event will bring together agricultural experts and local farmers.

The workshop, which includes lunch, will feature keynote speaker Monte Bottens, an Illinois crop and livestock farmer, alongside a panel of Southern Indiana farmers sharing their experiences and best practices. Danielle Walker from Purdue Extension will also be present at the event as the agricultural and natural resource educator.

The program, hosted at 1500 RC Morris Drive, offers continuing education opportunities for agricultural professionals, with credits available for both Private and Commercial Applicators and Certified Crop Advisers.

This year’s workshop continues its tradition of providing valuable insights into soil health management practices. It brings together experts and local farmers to share knowledge and experiences. The half-day format makes it accessible for busy agricultural professionals while providing comprehensive coverage of important soil health topics.
