Hazardous conditions continue to impact Rumpke service

BLOOMINGTON – Treacherous roadways continue to prevent waste and recycling service for many Rumpke customers in Bloomington and throughout South Central Indiana. For some, pick-up may be delayed until the next scheduled service day.

Rumpke customers with Monday and Tuesday collections will be picked up next week. The company will collect extra material at that time.

“While we planned to operate on a one-day service delay this week, our team was out assessing road conditions today, and unfortunately, most area roadways are still too hazardous to travel,” said Eric Curtis, region vice president, Rumpke. “We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through these service challenges.”

Rumpke plans to collect customers on schedule from Wednesday to Friday, as road conditions allow.
